Here we provide a sense of community and belonging, a sanctuary away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life regardless of who you are or where you are from.
Nestled on the edge of the West Pennine moors, our beautiful Chapel is deeply connected to its 300-year pastoral history, whilst championing forward-looking inclusivity and an open minded spirituality.
Everyone is welcome here, from all walks of life, backgrounds, and faiths as well as non-faiths (such as atheists and agnostics). A variety of religious and spiritual beliefs and approaches sit happily side by side amongst our congregation, bound together by the basic Unitarian principle of respect for the inherent worth, dignity of all beings and the freedom to follow one’s own conscience. Meet Our Minister
Reverend Tina Gandhi is our Minister, and the first Hindu in the UK to be ordained as a Unitarian Minister. She joined Walmsley in May 2026 after serving as Minister at Chowbent Unitarian Chapel in Atherton. Tina holds an MA in Theology and Religious Studies from Cambridge University and a Chaplaincy qualification from Durham University.
Tina is deeply committed to working alongside the local community, building relationships that nurture belonging, compassion, and shared purpose.
